Here’s the situation: I’ve got a software product I’ll call “Widgets”. I find out that the domain name “widgets.com” is already taken. But it’s just a link site for advertisers – they do not have a product or service called “Widgets”. I don’t see how a domain name would constitute a copyright or trademark, and I’m not going to change my product name if I don’t have to. But I don’t want any legal entanglements either.
Any advice?
